About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Department at VUMC. I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Vanderbilt University, and my pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology at the UCLA Semel Institute. I completed a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Brown Child Mental Health T32 program.

Research

My research aims to understand the role of emotion regulation and coping in the onset and maintenance of suicidality, depression, and related mental health problems in teens and families. My goal is to improve interventions targeting these problems to promote optimal mental health outcomes.
